Joined First Place: 2013

Regional Director of Programs LaMont Walker has been with First Place since 2013, first as an Education & Employment Specialist and then as a Youth Advocate before joining our leadership team as Education and Employment Manager.

As Regional Director, LaMont now oversees all programming for LA County, supporting staff needs and professional development and ensuring effective program delivery to all of our participants. LaMont has experience working with youth in the nonprofit industry, building and managing innovative programs, and leading teams committed to advocacy for underserved populations.

LaMont has a dual Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts and Political Science as well as a dual Master’s degree in Performance Psychology and Public Administration.
